Changing Metricide

Use the following instructions to change the metricide (disinfectant) every 28 days

• Notes:  
• You may want to use protective gear (i.e. gloves, goggles, lab coat) while doing this job.  Gloves and goggles are stored in the drawer near to the sink.  Lab coats are hung on the coat rack in room 181.  
• If you splash metricide on your body or clothing, follow the guidelines on the materials safety data sheet (MSDS) for metricide.  
• The MSDS can be found posted on the metiricide container, on the door to the cupboard that houses the metricide container and within the drawer that houses the safety goggles and gloves.

• Flush old metricide down the sink drain in room 186 with lots of water

• Pour 1/2 of a gallon-sized container of Metricide28 into the container

• Add 1/2 of an Activator Plus bottle into the container

• Stir contents of the container and replace the lid
