Filing Literature (research articles, book chapters, etc.)

Follow this file path to access the folder containing articles that need to be filed:

            My computer/ThePub/Lit/ToFile

Follow this file path to access the folder the articles should be filed in:

            My Computer/ThePub/Lit/Articles

Once you have these two folders open do the following:

Open a file in the ToFile folder.

Check if that article exists already within the Articles folder.

Actually open the article in both the ToFile folder and the Articles folder and

visually verify that the titles, authors, publication year, etc are exactly the same.

This needs to be done because even though the file names are the same, it's not

neccessarily the same piece of literature.

Verify  the file is named correctly, and if it's not, edit the file name

(should be: Firstauthor's last name, Initial of first author's first name, year the

literature was published, and finally an a or b or c and so on if the author

published anotherarticle in the same year and we have that other piece of

literature already filed in the Articles folder).  Use this example:  CurtinJ2007b (b

is listed after the year, becausewe already have an article published by J Curtin

in 2007 in our Articles folder).

Once it's named correctly, right click on the file name, select copy, go to the articles

folder, and right click on some open space and select paste.
