Never save anything to a computer locally (meaning do not save items to a computer's desktop or C drive).
Study data should be saved in the designated location for that study.
Personal information should not be saved to a computer.
If you do save information to a computer, that information is in jeopardy or being lost.
Instead of saving to the computer, it's reccomended that you save your personal information to a personal flash disk drive.
If you are an undergraduate student, then you will need to log onto a computer using the log-in information that is designated for the study you are helping to conduct research for.
If you are not an undergraduate student, then you should be able to log into a computer using a personal log in name and password.
This log-in name in and password will need to be set up by John or the lab manager.
As a non-undergraduate student, you will also have a user folder set up for your personal use.
This folder is located on the Pub, within the UW file.
Use this to save personal or non-study related information while working on a lab computer.
